Digital Saybolt Viscometer

Service Overview

Compliance Standard : ASTM D88 – Saybolt Viscosity, IP 71, IS 1448 (P:10).
Application : Digital Saybolt Viscometer is used to determine the Saybolt Universal (SU) and Saybolt Furol (SF) viscosity of petroleum products such as lubricating oils, fuel oils, and other liquid petroleum products by measuring the efflux time through a calibrated orifice at controlled temperature. Suitable for petroleum laboratories, lubricant industries, refineries, and quality control labs.

Product Description : This is a microprocessor-based digital Saybolt viscometer with a stainless steel bath and dual viscometer tube arrangement. The bath temperature is maintained precisely by a digital PID temperature controller. The unit features automatic timing of efflux with digital display, eliminating manual stopwatch errors. The viscometer tubes (Universal/Furol) are fitted with standard calibrated orifices and stoppers. Receiver flasks are positioned below the tubes for collection of the sample. The front panel includes temperature display, timer display, switches, and control keys for user-friendly operation. The body is fabricated from powder-coated mild steel for durability.
