Oxidation Stability of Inhibited Mineral oil

Service Overview

Compliance Standard :  ASTM D943 – Standard Test Method for Oxidation Characteristics of Inhibited Mineral Oils
Application : The Oxidation Stability of Inhibited Mineral Oil Apparatus is used to determine the oxidation characteristics of inhibited mineral oils, particularly turbine oils, hydraulic oils, and circulating oils, under accelerated oxidation conditions. The test evaluates the oil’s resistance to oxidation by measuring acid number increase, sludge formation, and oxidation life when exposed to oxygen in the presence of water and metal catalysts. This apparatus is extensively used in lubricant manufacturing plants, oil refineries, research laboratories, and quality control laboratories.

Product Description : The apparatus consists of a thermostatically controlled oil bath with oxidation cells, oxygen distribution system, water condenser assembly, and catalyst coils as prescribed in ASTM D943. The system is designed for continuous long-duration testing with precise temperature control and uniform heating. High-quality glassware and corrosion-resistant components ensure durability, safety, and reproducible test results.
