Description :-
1. NI-PMCC-101 is used for determination of diesel, biodiesel blends, Kerosine, heating oils, turbine fuels, residual fuel oil, cutback residual oil, used lubricating oils, solvents and other petroleum products.
2. A brass cup of specified dimensions, filled to the inside mark with test specimen and fitted with a cover of specified dimensions is heated and the specimen is stirred at specified rates according to the procedure.
3. Voltage variac is used adjust and control the heating rate as per test sample. Normally the heating rate is increased initially and as the flash point approaches it is decreased to avoid false and missed detections.
4. RPM is controlled through Potentiometer and is adjusted between 90-120 rpm according to procedure A and 240-260 rpm according to procedure B. The shaft is connected to a geared motor and adjusted using the potentiometer knob.
5. Gas ignition is provided with flow controller to adjust and hold the test flame during the test. The flow controller is used to turn on /off and adjust the test-flame as per requirement.
6. The PT100 temperature sensor is placed on the shutter assembly mounted on the cup, immersed inside the sample. The temperature is displayed on indicator with bright LED having 0.1°C resolution.
7. The instrument has advantages of accurate measurement, good repeatability, simple operation with stable and reliable performance. It is widely used in petroleum, Electric, Chemical industries, commodity inspection, railways and research laboratories.
