Ramsbottom Carbon residue apparatus

Service Overview

Compliance Standard : ASTM D524 – Ramsbottom Carbon Residue of Petroleum Products,  IP 14, IS 1448 (P:8)
Application : Ramsbottom Carbon Residue Apparatus is used to determine the carbon residue left after evaporation and pyrolysis of petroleum products such as lubricating oils, fuel oils, residues, and bituminous materials. The test indicates the carbon forming tendency of petroleum products. Used in petroleum testing laboratories, refineries, lubricant industries, and research/QC labs.

Product Description : The outer body is fabricated from powder coated mild steel, while the inner chamber is lined with refractory material for efficient heat retention. A top opening with lid allows easy insertion and removal of the glass bulbs. Indicator lamps and a digital display provide clear status of heating and temperature control. The design ensures uniform heating conditions for accurate carbon residue determination.
