Reid Vapor Pressure test apparatus

Service Overview

Compliance Standard : ASTM D323 – Vapor Pressure of Petroleum Products (Reid Method), IP 69, IS 1448 (P:39), ISO 3007
Application : Reid Vapor Pressure apparatus is used to determine the vapor pressure of petroleum products such as gasoline, crude oil fractions, naphtha, and volatile fuels. The test indicates the volatility of fuels which is critical for storage, handling, and engine performance. Widely used in petroleum laboratories, refineries, fuel depots, and quality control labs.

Product Description The apparatus consists of a constant temperature water bath with digital temperature control and provision to hold the Reid vapor pressure bomb assembly. The bath maintains the test temperature at 37.8°C (100°F) as required by the standard. The system is supplied with Reid vapor pressure bombs fitted with pressure gauges and valves for charging and releasing pressure. The bath is fabricated from stainless steel and insulated for temperature stability. A digital temperature controller ensures precise maintenance of bath temperature. The unit is mounted on castor wheels for easy movement and includes a drain valve for water replacement.
